Work continues rapidly on Universal UK

The Concrete Slab, also known as the Lake Zone, is relatively quiet this paste week, with no visible movement around the landslip area.

That said, there’s a big visual change at the wildlife side of the lake, where a significant number of new trees have now been planted, giving us a clearer idea of how landscaping is beginning to take shape.

At the West Gateway zone, teams are actively carrying out borehole testing, a key step in preparing foundations for major structures. Across the Core Zone we can also see extensive new fencing going up in very specific patterns, likely marking out future work zones and construction phases.

Heavy machinery is hard at work too, with the Diggertron 330 busily scraping away topsoil while the flumpers (flock of dumpers) continue removing material from across the site. Overall, it’s a very active and promising start to February 2026, with clear signs that momentum is building at Universal Studios UK.
